I’m a Writer

As a writer, I never know exactly when inspiration will hit.  Sometimes I can force it to appear every morning at about 6 or 7, after letting the dogs out and starting coffee.  However, other times, it just randomly appears to make me rush to the keyboard and type like a made woman.  This can be a good thing or a bad thing for the rest of the household.  The kids sleep right through it.  The dogs love it, too.  They get to hover at my feet and maybe get an extra belly rub.  My husband, though, is a light sleeper, and usually wakes up when I write.  I must fix me up a corner of the house where I can write and not bother anyone with me and the dogs being awake.  My youngest will also wake up and roll over to look at me writing and say something about how he hopes I’m writing something for him to read, then he will casually fall off to sleep again.

I love the early morning, no matter what time I went to bed.  It is just so peaceful and refreshing.  I love to walk out into my garden as the coffee perks and the dogs visit their perspective corners of the yard.  The birds don’t even fly away.  To them, I’m just a bird who can’t fly, and I pose no threat.

Hopefully, tomorrow I  will set up my own space from which to write without disturbing anyone.

Love to all,

Paint World The Dragon’s Orb

The first in the Paint World Series.

A day with my boys.

Today was a wonderful day!  We got up and took off to the mall for some loafering time.  I should say that we didn’t go in Spencer’s at all, but I can’t.  We did.  That place has some funny things!  Plus, my Gabriel likes to look at all the lights, particularly the ones that look like lightening bolts.  However, they didn’t have those today.  We had to be happy with looking at Scooby Doo clocks and shot glasses with funny sayings.  Then we went to the bookstore where we plopped down in the floor and enjoyed studying about speaking to animals.  It was delightful!  Then we went to the Japanese food court grille and enjoyed our usual chicken, rice, and lomein.  Yummy!!

We came home and enjoyed reading our new book in the woods as the sun went down.

Simply splendid day with my wonderful boys!

Hello world! Here I am!

Hi!

I have been writing for as long as I can remember, but recently felt as though God has been pushing me to seriously pursue my writing as my career.  I love to write.  It’s like my coffee to me, if I don’t get to write, I am not a happy camper.  Oh, and you don’t want to see me without my coffee…. it’s not pretty!

I have written a Young Adult series entitled Paint World for which the first one, A Dragon’s Orb will be available by tomorrow, April 1st, on Amazon as an ebook.  The second in the series, 1859 Caulder Street will be made available in April as well.  I will post the exact date as soon as I know.

I’m off to do science with my Gabriel.  His favorite subject.  Then we’re taking the labs for a walk to the graveyard where we can enjoy a peaceful country setting of horses and cows in our neighbor’s pastures.

Happy Writing!
